About us
Design approach
Sebastian Conran Associates' proven design process is our starting point, from which we tailor our approach to each individual project.1. Understanding through research, observation and evaluation.
2. Scoping by creating the brief of requirements and objectives with our clients, including planning tasks, timescales and budgets.
3. Conceptualising by brainstorming with lateral-thinking groups and intuitive sketchbooks of ideas and card models.
4. Designing in function and appearance, turning agreed ideas into manufacturable reality, then developing through CAD into the design for manufacture.
5. Testing and evaluating function and appearance through models & prototypes, refining designs to work well, look good and cost less.
6. Implementing the design intent with CAD modeling specification, then overseeing tooling and preparing for efficient manufacturing.
7. Selling the product to the consumer with active promotional marketing through press and endorsement.
